Borrowdale Ramble – Official Lake District Guided Walk

Start point: Keswick Tourist Information Centre, Moot Hall, Keswick
Length: 13.5km (8.5 miles) with 75m (246ft) of ascent
Time: 5.5 hours (approx.)
A moderate graded walk which begins by taking the bus from Keswick Bus Station to Rosthwaite, in the Borrowdale Valley, and walking back to Keswick, following the River Derwent and the west side of Derwent Water.
A delightful mostly low level walk which explores the beautiful Borrowdale Valley.
Paths are generally good, but there are some sections which are stony and others that will be muddy in poor weather.
Participants will need to dress appropriately for the terrain and weather and bring a packed lunch.
Participants will also need to purchase their own Keswick to Rosthwaite Bus ticket. A single trip ticket to Rosthwaite costs £4.60.
