Caves, Falls and Fells – Official Lake District Guided Walk

Start Point: Tilberthwaite Quarry car park
Length: 10km (6.2miles) with 360m (1181ft) of ascent
Time: 5 hours (approx.)
A moderate grade walk following the old quarry roads to Little Langdale, visiting the much photographed Slater Bridge and the impressive Cathedral Cave before moving on to spectacular Colwith Falls. The return route is over High Oxen Fell and to Hodge Close Quarry. This walk involves moderate ascents and descents sometimes along stony paths with sections that can be muddy in poor weather.
Participants will need to dress appropriately for the terrain and weather and bring a packed lunch.
