Live and Local Lunchtime Concert

This concert is an external hire by Lakeland Sinfonia and you will be directed to their booking facility for tickets. Tickets are also available to purchase on the day of the concert in the Old Laundry Theatre foyer.
Seats are unreserved.
An informal concert featuring a programme of popular classical pieces performed by two musicians from the Lakeland Sinfonia orchestra.

AnnaKate Pearson
AnnaKate is a Windermere-based freelance professional harpist. Having studied for six years at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama, she gained her BA(Hons), PG Dip & Mmus in harp performance.
Since finishing her studies in 2007, AnnaKate has built up teaching work in and around South Lakes, North Yorkshire and Lancashire. She also keeps busy performing with orchestras and choral societies locally in Cumbria and has also worked with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Scottish Opera Orchestra and BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
Additionally, AnnaKate enjoys performing recitals as part of a pedal harp duo and, as for this concert, a flute and harp duo.
Christine Lorriman
Christine is a flautist and teacher based in the Northwest of England.
In 1975, she was awarded a Lancashire County Scholarship to study with Patricia Morris and Atarah Ben-Tovim (Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra). She then continued her studies at Huddersfield School of Music with Alan Lockwood (BBC Northern Symphony Orchestra).
On completion of her degree, Christine was awarded a distinction and the Turner Prize for Orchestral Playing. For almost two decades, she worked as a tutor on the annual international “Flute Kitchen” summer course in Harrogate.
Christine is currently principal flute with the Lakeland Sinfonia, Haffner Orchestra (Lancaster) and the Promenade Concert Orchestra (Morecambe).
