Ulverston Lantern Festival

Ulverston’s favourite fiery festival featuring a huge parade of community-made paper & wicker lantern.
The Theme of this years Lantern Festival is – Into the Garden.
Create beautiful lanterns shaped like blooming flowers, graceful butterflies, enchanting birds, and delicate dragonflies. You could also craft a serene garden landscapes, with miniature trees, flowing streams, and vibrant foliage. Let your imagination bloom and bring the garden to life!
Lantern Kits £6 – from Appleseeds, The Book Shack (Market Hall), The Cumbria Way (Upper Brook St) and Croftlands Laundrette. Lantern Workshops at The Old Brewery, LA12 7HU Sept 9th & 10th from 2 pm to 6pm Mon to Fri 11th to 15th from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.
Processions come together at County Square – 8.00pm on Saturday September 16th. River of Light through Ulverston then Fireworks Finale at Ford Park 9.00pm.
