Woofers Comedy Club
12 March, 2020 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Woofers comedy club presents a night of stand-up comedy at the Boaters bar in the beautiful Lake district’s Bowness from some of the best comedians on the UK scene. Tickets are £10.00 each & are available behind the bar at Boaters.
March 12th show features:
Headliner, Mike Wilkinson. Overflowing with down to earth Northern charm, Mike has a wonderful laid-back style. The laughs come thick and fast with Wilkinson’s dry humour and razor sharp wit…but hecklers beware, that cheeky grin can lash out and crush a heckler at lightening speed. When he’s not killing it on the comedy scene, he can be found working on his farm rearing his own hens, and often brings a gift of a few fresh eggs to the show. ” Excellent” – City life Magazine.
Steve Royle, As well as stunning good looks, Steve has a marvellous sense of humour, as that last sentence proves. He’s an actor, writer, comedian, juggler, and a “Gillard Award” winning presenter on BBC Radio Lancashire. His Saturday morning 9am til 11am show means he is now a treat for both cochlea and cornea alike.Steve’s TV credits include “Phoenix Nights”, “Max And Paddy’s Road To Nowhere”, “Peter Kay’s Britain’s Got The Pop Factor…” Steve is a regular at all the top comedy venues including the famous Comedy store. “A very funny man” – Peter Kay.
Marvyn Dickinson, A star of CBBC’s BAFTA nominated DNN. A Nando’s New Comedian Of The Year 2014. He has that indefinable x-factor some comics have and some don’t and the result is one very warm and incredibly funny act. “Dickinson is aided by a flamboyant, forceful delivery that massively adds to his set.” – Nott’s Comedy Review.
MC for the evening is Phil Walker.
Phil`s act has taken him to some weird & wonderful places, from a scout hut in Unst in the Shetland Isles to a portacabin on mount Alice in the Falkland Islands, basically he`ll go anywhere for a laugh! In 2002 at the famous Comedy store in Manchester he was voted City Life Comedian of the year. Phil radiates an infectious, cheeky energy. The gags and observations keep on coming thick and fast. “His material is as up to date as tonight’s news..” The Stage.
