DESCRIPTION:Our Real Heart Jewel\nJe Tsongkhapa Empowerment\nTeachings on Faith in Guru Tsongkhapa and the Blessed Practice of the Migtsema Request Prayer \nwith Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong \nDuring the Fall Festival 2026\, Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong will grant the empowerment of the Wisdom Buddha Je Tsongkhapa. She will also explain how to develop and improve our faith in our Spiritual Guide seen as one with Je Tsongkhapa\, and on the practice of Migtsema\, the special mantra and prayer of praise and request to Je Tsongkhapa. \nThis prayer is very blessed because it was originally uttered by Buddha Manjushri\, and comes from Manjushri’s Emanation Scripture\, which he transmitted directly to Je Tsongkhapa. Many of Je Tsongkhapa’s followers attained very high realizations through the practice of Migtsema combined with the Guru yoga of Je Tsongkhapa. The Migtsema practice is the best method for increasing our faith in Je Tsongkhapa and his teachings\, and if we practise Je Tsongkhapa’s teachings sincerely with faith\, we can attain enlightenment quickly and easily.

SUMMARY:Coro Camino
DESCRIPTION:Coro Camino is a chamber choir made up of 12 Gloucestershire-based singers who also sing with a local choral society\, Philomusica. \nThe choir came together in 2019 to undertake a walking and singing tour along the route of the Camino de Santiago in northern Spain\, finishing in Santiago de Compostela. The concerts were well received and a second Camino tour was undertaken in 2023. \nThe choir also performs regularly in its home area\, in churches and other venues (including Gloucester Cathedral)\, helping the churches and charities with fund-raising initiatives. This has included participation in a Tewkesbury Abbey to Gloucester Cathedral pilgrimage\, with members of the choir also walking the route and with performances at the Abbey and the Cathedral as well as at a lunchtime stop along the route. \nThis year Coro Camino is looking forward to undertaking a three concert tour in Cumbria from 25th to 29th May (performing in Broughton-In-Furness\, Ulverston and Penrith)\, making use of connections which choir members have in these locations. They will also be looking to replicate the formula of their trips to northern Spain by including some walks in the Cumbrian Fells. \nThe choir is planning to perform a wide variety of music in a programme of about 75 minutes duration\, mainly classical but also with some numbers from musicals: music by Tallis\, Vivaldi\, Faure\, Elgar\, Lauridsen\, Rutter\, Chilcott and Andrew Lloyd Webber will be included – a choral pilgrimage across centuries and continents. \nThe concert at Ulverston Parish Church on Wednesday 27th May at 7.30pm is being held to support the fund raising for the North aisle roof and parapets of the church which will cost around £350\,000.

Simple architecture; sensitively and sustainably restored. \nRookhow has Open Days on the 1st and 3rd Friday every month with special exhibits for the Heritage Open Day on 19th September. We’re also part of the Quiet Garden Movement so if you’d like some peace and quiet\, come and wander in our 12 acres of ancient oak woodland.  \nFree admission. Tea\, coffee and homemade cakes provided. Short Quaker Meeting 12.30-1pm. All welcome\, even if you haven’t been to a Quaker Meeting before.
