DESCRIPTION:Velo Retro 2014 – 2026. The Friendly Retro Cycling Festival of the English Lake District. \nVelo Retro is ready for its 12th anniversary event. Following a wonderful but wet 2025 weekend\, it is now established as the foremost retro cycling festival in the UK\, and we’re getting ready for another special year (just without the rain!). \nWe’re planning to hold the numbers at around 500\, and we’re staying in town – like Gaiole\, but with chip butties and beer!  \nBased in the small and very lovely market town of Ulverston\, for 2026 the festival will be a free\, street event\, with lots of music\, stalls\, cars\, motorcycles and most importantly\, lots of lovely people! We’re also working with local groups and we’re moving the scooters to Saturday\, with a full car show on the Sunday. \nThere’s no fence\, almost everything is free\, and there are no big corporate sponsors – Velo Retro is the authentic\, friendly\, welcoming event – the friendly festival; where people arrive as strangers and leave as friends.
