Himalayan Balsam Bashing
Westmorland & Furness Council and South Cumbria Rivers Trust are organising a number of “Balsam Bashing” sessions in South Cumbria. This activity helps towards removing Himalayan Balsam, an invasive non-native plant species. It’s a practical way to support local nature recovery, and can be a really enjoyable and therapeutic activity, as well as a great excuse to spend some time outdoors.
Sessions take place on 7th, 17th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 27th, and 28th August. Transport is provided free from the locations listed on the poster.
Please feel free to contact Sam at South Cumbria Rivers Trust directly to find out more. Email: sam@scrt.co.uk. Phone: 07825 873109.
