Les Intouchables
There will be a showing of “Les Intouchables” at The Roxy Cinema Ulverston on Wednesday 17th June at 7.30pm to raise funds for the Ulverston-Albert Twinning Association. The film is in French with English subtitles.
Les Intouchables is a heartwarming French comedy-drama based on a true story. It follows the unlikely bond between Philippe, a wealthy quadriplegic aristocrat who became disabled after a paragliding accident, and Driss, his streetwise, newly-hired caregiver. The film has an IMDBb rating of 8.5 out of 10 and stars Francois Cluzet and Omar Sy. Viewers overwhelmingly praise the film for its heartwarming true story, brilliant chemistry between the leads, and perfect balance of humour and emotion.
Les Intouchables received 38 awards, as well as a BAFTA nomination.
