The Band
Abbey Musical Society – an unforgettable theatrical experience!
Get ready for a night of nostalgia, laughter, and unforgettable music, as Abbey Musical Society brings the smash-hit musical The Band to the stage. Featuring the legendary songs of Take That, The Band is a heart-warming and uplifting musical about friendship, growing up, and the power of music to bring people together.
In 1992, for five teenage girls, the biggest thing in their lives was their favourite boy band. Their music meant everything — the soundtrack to their dreams, their friendships, and their future. But as life moves on, the girls drift apart and their childhood promises fade. Twenty-five years later, fate brings them back together, and they realise that while life may have changed, the memories and the music that shaped them never truly disappeared.
Packed with the iconic hits that made a generation sing along — including “Never Forget,” “A Million Love Songs,” “Relight My Fire,” “Back For Good,” and many more — The Band is a feel-good celebration of friendship, love, and the music that defines our lives.
With Abbey Musical Society’s trademark energy, talent and production quality, this show promises an evening full of emotion, humour, and spectacular musical moments. Whether you grew up with the music of Take That, or are discovering these timeless songs for the first time, The Band is a musical that will have you laughing, reminiscing, and singing along.
