Ulverston Links with Slavery
The Catholic Women’s League (CWL) have invited Reverend Dr.David Jackson to give a talk at St. Mary’s RC Parish Centre, Victoria Road on Wed. 22nd January. He is the President of North Lonsdale Local History Group and is well known for his talks on Ulverston and South Cumbria. Visitors are welcome, tea and biscuits provided, join us for what will be a really interesting afternoon.
The CWL holds regular meetings on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month at 2pm in the Parish Centre, opposite the kiosk. If you’re interested in being a member just come along and join us for a cup of tea. The annual programme includes a variety of invited speakers and musical groups where visitors are always welcome.
